1. Acceptance
By accessing athemes.com or purchasing any aThemes product, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the services.
2. License
aThemes themes (Sydney, Botiga) and our free plugins distributed on WordPress.org are licensed under the GPL v2 or later. Pro versions are licensed for use on the number of sites covered by your purchase tier (single-site, multi-site, or unlimited/agency tier). License keys unlock updates and support; the GPL license itself permits use beyond the support and update tier you've purchased, but updates and support are limited to active licenses.
3. Account
You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Payment, renewals, and refunds
Pro purchases are charged at the price displayed at checkout. Annual licenses auto-renew at the price you paid (with notice before renewal); you can cancel renewal anytime from your account dashboard. Lifetime licenses are one-time purchases with no renewal.
14-day money-back guarantee: If a Pro product isn't right for you, request a refund within 14 days of purchase by emailing support@athemes.com. We process refunds promptly, typically within a few business days.
5. Updates and support
Active Pro licenses include theme/plugin updates and email support. When an annual license expires, you may continue to use the product (the GPL license permits this) but will not receive new updates or support until the license is renewed.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use our website or products to: (a) violate any law; (b) infringe intellectual-property rights; (c) distribute malware or engage in security attacks; (d) attempt to bypass our license-key system; (e) resell aThemes Pro products without permission. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.
7. Intellectual property
aThemes, the aThemes logo, and product names are trademarks of aThemes. Theme and plugin code is licensed as described in Section 2. Images, design assets, and starter-site content included in our products may be licensed for use only as part of an aThemes theme installation — third-party assets are credited and licensed per their original terms.
8. Third-party services
Our website and products may link to or integrate with third-party services (Elementor, WooCommerce, Stripe, PayPal, analytics providers, and others). We are not responsible for the practices of those services; their use is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
9. Disclaimers
Our products are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We make no guarantee that the products will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every third-party plugin, theme, or hosting environment.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, aThemes' total liability arising out of or related to the products or services will not exceed the amounts paid to aThemes in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim. aThemes will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless aThemes from any third-party claim arising out of your use of the products or services in violation of these Terms or applicable law.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which aThemes is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law of your country provides otherwise.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always at this URL with an updated effective date. Material changes will be communicated to active accounts.
